2024 Customs Brokers Oath-Taking Ceremony Update Now: Successful

Manila, Philippines – On December 18, 2024, the 2024 Customs Brokers Oath-Taking Ceremony took place at PICC, radiating pride and celebration. With this event marking the official entry of this year’s passers into the distinguished customs profession, enthusiasm filled the venue. Organized seamlessly by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board for Customs Brokers (PRBCB). The ceremony gathered influential leaders, key industry stakeholders, and newly licensed customs brokers. Together, they celebrated this remarkable milestone, signifying the beginning of professional journeys.

The ceremony’s highlight was the inspiring keynote address delivered by Bureau of Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio. Addressing the enthusiastic audience, Commissioner Rubio emphasized the pivotal role of customs brokers in facilitating international trade and driving the nation’s economic growth.

 

“Your profession is not merely about ensuring compliance; it is about safeguarding the economic interests of our nation while maintaining efficiency and integrity in our trade operations,” he remarked.

 

Urging the new professionals to uphold ethical practices and professionalism, Commissioner Rubio encouraged them to remain steadfast in their commitment to the nation’s development. “As licensed customs brokers, you are the gatekeepers of our borders and the enablers of commerce. Carry out your duties with honor, integrity, and a spirit of service to the country,” he concluded.

PRBCB Leadership and Vision

PRBCB Honorables Sam Bautista, Nenette Dagondon, and Albert Cruz graced the event. They collectively oversaw the formalities. Their dedication to enhancing the standards of the customs brokerage profession ensured the ceremony’s seamless execution. The PRBCB officials reiterated their commitment to supporting the new professionals through training, policy improvements, and industry collaboration in their messages.

The new customs brokers participated in a second oath-taking ceremony as members of the Philippine Chamber of Customs Brokers Inc. (PCCBI). PCCBI National President Dr. Anthony Cristobal led this segment, officially welcoming the new members into the professional organization. Dr. Cristobal’s address underscored the importance of collaboration, continuous learning, and adapting to technological advancements to thrive in the ever-evolving logistics landscape.

 

Joining Dr. Cristobal were PCCBI Trustees, including Executive Vice President Jill Tolentino, Norberto Castillo, and Samuel Perez, who collectively offered their guidance and support.
